Alternate Handlebar Possibilities for the BMW R1100RS/RSL
As a preface, I need to explain that the stock down-sloping bar setup on stock R1100RS bikes bother my wrists - it's as if I constantly have to keep a tight grip, else my hands will slide off. After about 50 miles, my upper arms begin to ache, the outer pads of my hands are raw. I also was disappointed in the visibility afforded by the mirrors as I had developed a preference for the wider visibility of fairing mounted or bar-end mirrors (from previous bikes). Following then are writeups on expensive ways to change the stock handlebar arrangement to "flatten" them out by installing:
a Rairotec tubular bar conversion with some additional notes.

Rairotec (or RaiRoTec) has a link as well. By the way, Cascade BMW is now the (a?) US distributor for WÜDO / Rairotec goodies, visit their new website at www.wudo.com.
